Gašper, his brother Peter, and his friend Maja are enjoying the freedom of an evening when they have been left at home alone. The parents did entrust the children to Rebecca the babysitter, but she hid in the wardrobe to escape Gašper's naughtiness. She won't come out, as she's afraid of Gašper's pet tarantula. So, the party can begin!
Horrid Henry – known to Slovenian children as grozni Gašper – is one of the best-loved characters of contemporary children's literature. The stories about the lovable rascal are famous all over the globe, as the “Henry books” are bestsellers in more than 25 countries, and have even been made into a cartoon. In Slovenia as well, Henry-Gašper is held in high esteem: having been selected as the favourite translated book in a project run by Slovenian libraries, he stands firm side-by-side with Harry Potter and Matilda. In her stage adaptation which takes from several books, Tamara Matevc wittily brings to life a story about ever-more naughty and impossible children that no educational approach can tame, because in today's world it is children who control adults.
