The sixth production of Janežič’s Dodecalogy 1971–1983 transports us back to 1977 and, while addressing events that marked the town, the country, the world and the relationship of humans towards the universe, it uses the stories of the protagonists from other productions to focus mostly on the incomprehension between people and how they experience close encounters with death. By a series of coincidences, the protagonists meet in one central place – a camping ground by the Soča river, where they either stare in the eyes of death or remember how they did: a sun stroke, a dying mother, a near suffocation with carbon monoxide, saving drowning friends, a lightning, an experience of concentration camp …

As the Dodecalogy 1972–1983 is a transgenerational documentary fiction project that follows family trees, in 1977 the relationships between children and parents and, more broadly, among relatives, old and new friends, are also of key importance.
